RV Insurance Requirements

Wisconsin does require all RV owners to purchase insurance. Your policy must meet the following liability limits:

• Bodily injury coverage for $25,000 for each person
• Bodily injury coverage for $50,000 for each accident
• Property damage coverage for $10,000

Illinois will require the following:

• $25,000 coverage for the injury or death of one person in an accident
• $50,000 coverage for the injury or death of more than one person in an accident
• $20,000 coverage for damage to the property of another person

Non-motorized RVs don’t require any special liability policies in Wisconsin and Illinois.
