Auto Insurance Requirements

Wisconsin requires all vehicle owners to purchase auto insurance. Your policy must meet the following minimum liability requirements:

Property damage coverage for $10,000
Bodily injury coverage for each person for $25,000
Bodily injury coverage for more than one person for $50,000

Illinois requires all vehicle owners to purchase auto insurance at these levels.

$25,000 for injury or death of one person in a crash.
$50,000 for injury or death of more than one person in a crash.
$20,000 for damage to property of another person.
